Starbuck’s Venture Brightloom Follows Path of Amazon Cloud Services


  • Last Monday Starbucks announced its tech startup with Brightloom.

Last Monday Starbucks announced its tech startup with Brightloom, by follow the way of Amazon Cloud services, as what other business also doing like Walmart. Brotman, who is a busy guy in fetching requests from national chains also, is a CEO of 

Brightloom which sells restaurants the cloud based softwares. Brotman show interest when asked for a venture of Starbucks and Brightloom. He mention that they will acquire huge pool of customers demand by creating such an ultimate platform.

Brightloom:


Brighloom started in 2015, when it was known as Etsa, as chain of restaurants where salads were made using robots. They introduced it in world’s busiest city, New York, where people can easily get their orders using mobile applications or with the help of digital booths. They even not want to waste their time to stand outside the restaurant for the meal. So this features was very fruitful for those.

As Brightloom had developed number of services like mobile ordering, digital booths, shelf pickup and smart cubbies. So they decided for a tech startup instead of their own restaurant. That’s why they shut down their own restaurant and start helping other restaurants to improve their services.

Digitization era:

  • Pizza hut :

Pizza hut have announced testing of Brightloom technology in Hollywood. By using the smart cubby pickup technology, they will become first national chain.


McDonald’s also brought personalization software in the growing trend of such huge industry.

  • Kroger:

Kroger is also license its technology like digital shelf of which they created.

Brotman said that Brightloom will give some new offerings, like mobile payment through barcode, to Starbucks.

Brotman recently had been the co-CEO of clothing retailer and also the chief officer as-well-as the president of J.crew. Brotman must know Starbucks new team to make a chains that is leading to mobile app that led by the chief digital officer of Starbucks and Starbucks expert from nine-years. He said that he was approached to became the CEO of Brightloom in April, by Starbucks 

CEO and Brightloom executive, who is a partner at Brightloom investor as-well-as private equity firms, the Valor equity partner. Kevin Johnson the CEO of Starbucks and Jon Shulkin the chairperson of Brightloom really knows the ability, capability and performance of Brotman, that’s why they approached him.


Today restaurants are more than eating place, they need some of the features. According to the survey, it had found less than one third of united state restaurants offer mobile payment option. Brotman said despite the fact of explosive growth there is only 3% restaurants are there in U.S that use restaurant software.

Brotman said that there are many tech companies who offer same offers but Starbucks has shared vision for this opportunity, they want to be integrated platform.
